The night told by hands and words: a funny and inclusive illustrated book.
"Hands by Night" is an illustrated book that celebrates the beauty of hands and bodies in a nocturnal environment, through the drawing of funny and surprising situations. The 28 pages of the book show a wide variety of characters and situations, all united by the night as a background and the presence of hands as protagonists.
The illustrations are accompanied by individual words and phrases, handwritten and in red, which create a high contrast with the deep blue background and give the book a lively and playful tone. But it is not just a fun book: "Hands by night" wants to be inclusive, showing the diversity of colors of skin, hair and situations that can be experienced at night. The original idea of the book was born from the desire to improve my technique drawing hands, but then evolved into a more complex and nuanced project.
